Richard L. “Rick” Menacher, 55, of Sayre, Oklahoma formerly of Oblong, Illinois died January 2, 2014 in Sayre, Oklahoma.
Rick was born in Olney, Illinois on August 6, 1958 and was the son of Earnest L. “Ernie” Menacher and Geneva (Riegle) Menacher. Rick was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1976. Rick was a band member of the “White Heat Band” that played in Oblong, Illinois and also in Los Angeles, California. He was a former owner of the Still Floyds Bar in Oblong, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. When he was not riding his Harley, Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Rick is survived by his mother Geneva Menacher of Oblong, IL.; two daughters Ancona Menacher of Sayre, OK. and Taffie Adams of Stoy, IL.; son Dain Menacher of Robinson, IL.; three grandchildren Macie Adams, Carson Adams, both of Stoy, IL.; and Rylie Heckler of Sayre, OK.; two brothers, Steven “Steve” and Janet Menacher of Oblong, IL.; their children: Kelley and Tim Pfeifer, Landis, Illinois; Came Ragle, Altamont, IL.; Michelle and Tommy Andrews, Willow Hill, Illinois; and Randy and Karen Stevenson, Oblong, Illinois; and Ronald “Ron” Menacher of Elk City, Oklahoma; his family: Tina and Kevin Dobbs, Harley and Sarah Menacher, and Robbie Menacher, all of Elk City, Oklahoma; one sister Janet Matheney of Sterling, IL, and her family, Erika Matheny, Rock Falls, Illinois and Hannah Matheney, Sterling, Illinois.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Menacher and a nephew, Joshua Menacher.

Richard “Rick” Lou Menacher, 55 of Sayre, OK., formerly of Oblong, IL. Rick died January 2, 2014 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident.
A casual gathering of family and friends to share memories and celebrate Rick’s life will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL.
